Labor Day

Labor Day is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers.  It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity and well being of our country.  The first Labor day was celebrated on Monday September 1884, and in 1894 Congress passed an act making the first Monday in each September of each year a legal holiday in the U.S.

We all labor in the kingdom of God, and his word will not return to him void.  For he said that the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.
